The Cantada Module Noise Source (CMNS) Broadband Noise Generator integrates diode generated white Gaussian noise. The broadband Gaussian noise is amplified and has an adjustable output. The CMNS is ideal for sweeping systems when traditional Spectrum Analyzer tracking generator or Network Analyzers are not practical. A distant end Spectrum Analyzer with averaging enabled can identify standing waves produced by unterminated or badly terminated connections. Lose or corroded cable terminations will produce visible signal fluctuations due to impedance mismatches.
